Irish orienteers at the Military world games
A select team of Irish orienteers are currently taking part in the 5th Military World Games in Brazil.Orienteering is one of the 20 sports in the competition and the Irish have had some good results so far.
On Tuesday the team took part in the middle distance race with Colm Hill finishing 62nd, Donald Burke 81st and Martin Coffey in 100th place.
Orla Jennings finished 33rd in the women's middle.
Wednesday saw the long distance final with Donal Burke finishing in 72nd and Martin Coffey also moving upto 98th place overall. Orla came back one place better with a very respectable 32nd place finish.
